About me<\/h2>\n\n\n

My story<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hi. I am Dr. Shariah Buzello, a medical doctor since 1995, a specialist anesthetist – trained in acute medicine, accustomed to high-pressure environments, and responsible for maintaining stability when it matters most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2007 I was diagnosed with a rare muscle cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surgery followed. Years of medical follow-up. Recovery. And something no one had prepared me for: chronic pain that remained, long after the cancer was gone. Shortly after surgery, my marriage ended. I became a single mother, living far from home, rebuilding everything at once – my health, my identity, and my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A shift in perspective<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I encountered in that process challenged everything I thought I understood about medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I began to retrain – immersing myself into psychology, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and body work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this work, I came to understand something my medical training had not fully addressed:
the body and mind do not function as separate systems.<\/strong>
You cannot work with one while neglecting the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only later did I recognize that I had also been living with PTSD.The methods I had studied professionally became the very tools that supported my own process of recovery.
That journey – from physician to patient, from stability to disruption and back again – from survival to something that genuinely feels like living – continues to shape how I work today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My philosophy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I learned – through clinical work, personal experience, and years of further training – is this: Medicine can treat the body. But it does not always address the person as a whole.
<\/strong>Sustainable change happens at the intersection of the physical, the psychological, and the meaningful. The body needs to be heard. The mind needs to be understood. And something deeper – how we make sense of our experience, and what remains possible – also needs attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is what I refer to as integrative resilience.<\/strong> Not the resilience of gritting your teeth and pushing through. But the resilience of becoming more stable, more aware, and more aligned – even in the presence of ongoing challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My work is grounded in this understanding.
It is not focused on short-term solutions, but on supporting a process of change that is both structured and sustainable.
My goal is to help you move toward a state that feels more stable, more coherent, and more manageable – on your own terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A little more about me<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After my medical training, I moved from Cape Town, South Africa to Germany, where I have built my life, my work, and my family. I am a mother to a daughter who has witnessed my process of rebuilding – and who has, in many ways, deepened my understanding of resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of my professional work, I continue to learn. I am drawn to interdisciplinary thinking, to the connections between different fields, and to the process of developing new perspectives over time. I believe that knowledge, when applied thoughtfully, has the capacity to create meaningful change – and I bring that perspective into all aspects of my work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
